Refund & Return Policy

Aman is a commission-based matching platform. Aman App ("Aman", "we", "us") connects Patients with independent mental-health professionals ("Therapists"). Patients are not charged a separate fee to use the service — you pay your Therapist's own rate for a session, and Aman retains a commission on that fee. This policy explains how refunds are handled.

1. Digital Service — No Physical Goods

Aman provides a digital matching and discovery service through a mobile app and website. There are no physical products to ship, and therefore no physical "returns." This policy explains how refunds are handled for amounts paid through or in connection with the Platform.

2. How Charges Work

Each Therapist sets their own hourly rate. The Patient pays the Therapist's rate for a session, and Aman retains a commission on that fee in return for the matching, booking, and payment-facilitation services it provides (see our Pricing Plan). There is no separate charge to Patients beyond the Therapist's rate.

3. Refunds for Therapy Sessions

Because each fee relates to services delivered by an independent Therapist, refunds for a session are primarily governed by that Therapist's own cancellation, no-show, and refund terms. As a result:

  • You should confirm a Therapist's cancellation and refund terms with them before booking.
  • Where a session fee is refunded, Aman's commission on that session is generally refunded or reversed in proportion to the amount refunded, except where a non-refundable cancellation or no-show charge applies under the policy in effect at the time of booking.
  • Where Aman acts only as a limited facilitator and not as the provider of the Therapy Services, Aman is not responsible for the Therapist's pricing or refund decisions, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

4. Cancellations & No-Shows

Bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows may be subject to the policies presented within the app and/or set by individual Therapists. Any cancellation fee, no-show fee, or forfeiture of a prepaid amount (if any) is governed by the policy in effect at the time of booking. Please review the applicable cancellation and rescheduling terms before you book.

5. How to Request a Refund or Raise a Concern

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, or you have a concern about a payment, charge, booking, or cancellation:

  • For a therapy session, contact your Therapist directly to discuss their cancellation and refund terms.
  • For anything paid to Aman (where applicable), or for help, contact us at support@myamanapp.com with your account details and a description of the issue.

We will review your request and aim to resolve it fairly through our internal dispute-resolution process. Where a refund is due, we will process it using your original payment method where reasonably possible.

6. Processing Times

Where a refund is approved, the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment provider. Any approved refund handled by a third-party payment processor is subject to that processor's standard timelines.

7. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable law, including any right to pursue a chargeback with your card issuer, to dispute a charge before a competent authority, or to any statutory refund or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time, particularly as payment features evolve. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Effective date".
